Unrivaled Support at Japanese Communication International School!

Hello everyone! What do you expect to accomplish and experience during your time in Japan? What are you anxious about? Finding a job? Getting into a Japanese university? Traveling? Making friends with other foreigners? Interacting with people from different cultures? There are as many expectations as there are people. The same is true for problems related to learning the language, money, food, finding a place to live, and what to do when you get sick. Japanese Communication International School (J Kokusai Gakuin) was founded by Kokusai Tsuushin Group which also operates businesses in the publishing, IT, Health and Welfare, HR fields. Operating in central Osaka for over 15 years, we host students from over 30 countries. Our curriculum is designed to benefit all students regardless of where they come from and all of our students have access to health services through Kokusai Tsuushin Group's clinic. Professional skill development and career guidance are also available to students through our partner agency. We offer all the support possible to turn all of our students' dreams into reality while at the same time providing peace of mind while studying in Japan. We hope that you will join us!

Why this school?

  1. POINT1

【Education Designed With Diversity in Mind】
Over 500 students from over 30 countries study Japanese with us and it is very difficult for students of varying nationalities and Japanese levels to study Japanese at the same time. However, at J Kokusai Gakuin we have several class levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced, and super advanced. We also have a selection of elective courses including our kanji course. We take great care to offer the best educational experience possible while also keeping our students' nationalities and individual abilities.

  2. POINT2

    【Confidence and Community】
We host a number of school events throughout the year. Between the opening and graduation ceremonies, we make active efforts to strengthen the bond between our students and staff through recreational and educational activities on and off campus and our sports festival. We also strive to help students be more aware of their individual progress and triumphs through regular assessments, speech contests, and practical Japanese classes.

  3. POINT3

    【One Word ー "Staff"】
Our school would not be what it is without our staff. They are the glue that holds everything together words cannot begin to describe how much of an integral part they play in the school's operation. We hope that you will come to Japan, study with us, and see this for yourself!

I have been studying at J Kokusai Gakuin for half a year now and I’ve managed to improve my Japanese far more than I expected. Af first, learning Japanese was frustrating because it is so different but the teachers at J Kokusai Gakuin do a great job. They explain everything well, provide us with reassurance, and even help us with non-school related problems that we might have while staying in Japan. They offer plenty of school trips which give opportunities to interact with other students, Japanese people, and to use your Japanese. The pace at which material is taught is very fast but effective and you learn a lot in a short time. It’s only been half a year and I’ve managed to pass the N2 level of the JLPT which is something I honestly didn’t think possible and I owe it all to J Kokusai Gakuin. I’m looking forward to the rest of my stay here.

I’ve been studying at the Japanese Communication International School in Osaka for about 9 months now. It’s been a really good experience so far! The level of the school is quite high and the study pace is very intense which is great for those who might be interested in covering the basics and developing skills quickly. There is a good balance of grammar, reading, writing, and listening. The school also provides a lot of support for settling into life in Osaka as well as for the challenges that come with moving to a new country! I’ve had a very enjoyable time so far and have had the opportunity to get a better understanding of Japanese culture. I wouldn’t recommend any other school.

I went to study at J Kokusai Gakuin for one year and loved it so much that I stayed another 3 months. The teachers are interesting and often funny. I liked that for each semester you usually have 4 different teachers that add variety to each week with their respective personality and teaching style. Obviously, classes are strictly in Japanese, but the teachers always find a way to help you understand when you don't. This school emphasis is really to prepare you for the JLPT tests and advancing to either University or professional school or finding employment in Japan. But it is also perfect to go just for the challenge of learning Japanese as I did. Also, on the semester before the JLPT test, they give optional complete JLPT mock tests that are really useful to see how ready you are for the real thing. The classes are only taught in Japanese, but at the reception, the school has an English-speaking representative that can help you with everything about daily life in Japan, from understanding documents in Japanese to take an appointment with a doctor, and is always ready to listen to your concern. Also, with their partnerships, this school can help you find affordable furnished apartment or dormitory that have a simple contract and one monthly price. I really enjoyed my experience there and I highly recommend J Kokusai Gakuin to everyone that wants to learn Japanese.

Course Description
J Kokusai Gakuin classes are split up into 4 levels and work to improve the following proficiencies:

Beginner Class: Students learn and deepen their understanding of the basic structure of the Japanese language and how to apply these in basic communication in Japanese.

Intermediate Class: Students learn how to communicate on a variety of subjects in both spoken and written Japanese.

Advanced Class: Students learn the essential differences between spoken and written Japanese and well as language that can be used in formal situations. Students also learn how to better communicate their own personal ideas and opinions.

Super Advanced Class: At the super advanced level, students are grouped by their purpose of study and take one of 3 special classes: Master Class, Business Class, Special University Preparation Class. In the Mater class, students work with the goal of improving their fluency from that of a "foreigner with good Japanese" to that of a "person who speaks natural Japanese." The Special University Preparation class prepares students for university, graduate school, and vocational school entrance examinations, admission, and study.

RECOMMENDATION

Japanese Communication International School (J Kokusai Gakuin) is located in the heart of Osaka, the economic center of Western Japan. What separates this school from many other schools is that was not founded by academics but by business professionals with the intention of preparing individuals for the challenges they could expect to face not only in academic situations but also the professional environment. This background not only allows the school administration to look at Japanese education from a different perspective than any other schools but also affects the way the school is structured and managed. Administrative staff works closely with teaching staff in the development of original curriculum which is always changing with the times taking into consideration not only what students want and need but also what the professional world wants and expects from young talent. At J Kokusai Gakuin it is not simply about passing a test, it is about preparing students for life after graduation.
